I have a large appetite. For food, for sleep and for laughter. Most of my day is spent around these three activities, not particularly in that order.
I am one of those people who starts wondering about what to make for dinner when having lunch.
One who forces herself to wake up with the consolation that the next nap is only a few hours away. And I really need no reason to laugh.
Born into a multicultural family and having lived in one too many cities, I have had the unique opportunity to experience food in a way very few people have. Thanks to my mom, I have been exposed to to a variety of cuisines from a very young age leading to a true fusion of culinary experiences. Polishing off a yummy Chole Bature with a bowl of curd rice is the Normal in my life.
This multicultural way of life is my inspiration. My inspiration for food, laughter, sleep and everything else that matters.
My cultural heritage is what a lot of my food is about. I need to cook/eat a different cuisine every few days. I love trying new food, new restaurants and new tastes.I let my imagination run riot with recipes i read in cookbooks and on the net but I hate tweaking the traditional recipes passed on from my grandmothers. Maybe it is the sentimentality of it all, or the need to keep their lessons alive. But that is the cook and person I am. I hold my traditions close to my heart and go insane on new experiences.
Food is my dream. However, the need to earn to put this food on my table is my reality at present. Patience they say is a virtue and I am biding my time knowing, my dream will be a reality one day.
